I first met Mike Curiak at Interbike about a year ago, and found myself astonished at some of the things he was trying to accomplish on a bicycle. Stories of 700+ mile mountain bike races done on little to no sleep, and with no outside support really made my jaw drop. Then he began telling me about his work with 29" mountain bikes, off-road aero-bars, and possibly aero-wheels for these events. He began sending in stories and pictures about what he was doing both in training and racing on our wheels, and we quickly became hooked on the stories of his adventures. Not only what Mike does, but what he does to the wheels and the fact that they survive it, has been a source of amazement to all of us here at Zipp. I hope that you enjoy reading about some of his amazing feats both on and off of the bike.
