Being a Track rider himself, our designer had a couple of ideas in mind with our track hub set: Make them strong and make them smooth. The ZIPP track specific hub set utilizes industrial quality bearings (a standard International size, of course) more than twice the size of any other hub bearing we use. The hubs are designed for a three cross spoke pattern in the rear and radial front wheels. Over sized steel axles for strength and durability mate securely to our steel track caps. (Order track caps separately) ZIPP Track hub sets are available individually or as standard equipment on our Track specific 404 wheel sets.

By the way, our track caps have been improved with a new type of bolt. Previous versions used a bolt with 75,000tpi while our new bolt uses a new alloy Nitride coated steel. The bolt is much harder and more durable at 175,000tpi.
